Fall Engagement Pictures

Fall Engagement Pictures

I’m super excited to share our first session of engagement photos!

We planned to take pictures the weekend before last because it was supposed to be sunny and relatively warm, but it ended up being cloudy and 45 degrees, so that was a fun little twist. We were frozen solid and spent any chance we could get warming up in the car between locations.

We were lucky enough to have my dad as our photographer so we were able to comfortably talk about things we liked and didn’t like. We also got to take as much time as we wanted in different locations. There were really no limitations! He had some cool ideas and so did we, so we spent a lot of time bouncing ideas off each other.

I really love our photos because I see so much more than the picture. I remember all the fun moments we had between taking them, which were all super special to me.

I can’t wait to take more pictures and share them all with you all! Most of all, I can’t wait to show our children these pictures one day so they can make fun of us!

Easiest Pumpkin Muffin Recipe

Easiest Pumpkin Muffin Recipe

Ok, unpopular opinion- I hate muffins. Well, most muffins. Pumpkin muffins are seriously the only ones I’ll eat. And when I start, I can’t stop. They’re so addicting no matter what time of year it is.Since fall has officially begun, I thought what better time than now to share the easiest and yummiest pumpkin muffin recipe?

My mom shared this with me a couple weeks ago and I chose to make a dozen for the apartment to see if they were any good. When I woke up the next day, they were all gone. They were a hit!

Ingredients:

-15 ounces of pumpkin puree

-1 box of spice cake mix

-white chocolate chips (if you’re feeling fancy)

-cream cheese frosting (again, if you’re feeling fancy)

Yes, that’s literally it. Just wait.

Steps:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Mix everything together. It will get pretty thick and your arm will hurt like a motherf***** but it’s worth it. Don’t give up!
  3. Pour into cups
  4. Bake for ~20 minutes
  5. Let cool.
  6. Frost.

This was my first batch, which ended up being a little sloppy. But I promise they were still so delicious! And since they require minimum effort, why not make them all the time for a nice fall treat?

GUYS IT’S FALL!

I love everything about fall- sweaters, falling leaves, chilly football games! I swear, it’s like I wait 75% of the year for fall! To me, there’s only two seasons- fall and not fall. I guess if you haven’t gotten the idea yet… I THRIVE IN THE FALL. And to help you guys thrive too, I’ve come up with some of the greatest fall-time goodies I’ve ever come across!

1. BLANKET SCARVES

Don’t you EVER tell me that blanket scarves are one of the greatest things ever. They’re so comfy and adorable. I sound like such a basic bitch… I’m sorry. One thing I love about blanket scarves is that they make last minute outfits work! I mean, you can throw on a white t-shirt and a pair of jeans, grab a blanket scarf, and look like you put so much more effort into your outfit!

2. CREWNECK SWEATSHIRTS

The holiest of sweatshirts. I’m in love with crewnecks year round, but the fall really brings it out! I swear I could live in these things every day. Sometimes I like to pair them with a scarf, denim jacket, and hoop earrings for a messy but presentable look- if that makes sense.

3. THERMOSES

I think this one is pretty self explanatory. How else would you keep your hot chocolate warm when you’re walking to and from classes? I collect cups with plastic straws like it’s my job, so to me thermoses are the fall equivalent. Target and Amazon have so many cute options!

4. CABIN SOCKS

I’m ashamed to say that it took me a little longer to hop onto the trend of cabin socks. But I’ve fallen in love with them. They’re so comfy and warm, PLUS they come in so many cute patterns! I love matching them with my outfits so when I take my shoes off they work as a cute accessory. Am I crazy? Most likely.

5. SHERPA PULLOVER

Anything sherpa is a 10/10 in my book. It’s so soft and warm and perfect for fall! I have so many sherpa blankets and pullovers. Everyone I talk to thinks that the good sherpa pullovers are really expensive, but I got my favorite one for only $10 at Walmart!

6. PURA VIDA BRACELETS

These are a necessity year around, but I especially love stacking their jewelry during the fall months! I’m actually a Pura Vida representative, so I have a discount code! If you’re looking to buy ANYTHING from Pura Vida, click here to save 20%!

What To Put in Your Spooky Basket!

What To Put in Your Spooky Basket!

If you’ve been living under a rock, you may have missed the spooky basket trend that’s been circulating social media. To sum it up, it’s just a little basket of goodies that people get their significant other in October as a sweet little “thinking of you” gift.

I’ve seen so many people swooning over them that I thought I’d help everyone out and come up with little things you could put in a spooky basket for your friends or special someone! The best part of these spooky baskets is that you don’t have to break the bank to show someone you’re thinking about them this spooky season!

  • Candles
  • Chocolates
  • Candy Corn
  • Stuffed Animal
  • Letter
  • Slippers
  • Fuzzy Socks
  • Blanket
  • Face Masks
  • Flowers
  • Perfume
  • Crocs (I’ve seen this a lot, I don’t know why)
  • Gift Cards
  • Leggings
  • Makeup
  • Costume Accessories
  • Jewelry
  • Photos

You’ve still got time to whip up a spooky basket of your own! If you use any of these ideas or come up with your own, please share! I love seeing spooky baskets, as weird as that sounds!

Happy spooky season!
